First Vincennes Savings Bank and First Robinson Savings Bank, Bobcat of Daviess County and TOC Direct Media has named the Illiana Farm Family of the Year. Don Osborne Farms, Inc. is a family farming operation in southern Knox County. Don and his family have been farming for 30 years; where they produce corn, soybeans, and wheat on 2500 acres.
Don, with his wife Amy, and their children Derrik and Shelby run the farm with the help of Don’s brother Dan, and 2 full time employees. Don and his family have been involved in the county fair, and are a proud supporter of their community. The Osborne family was nominated by a family friend, Tracey Kahre. Don has been battling cancer for 5 years, but has not missed a harvest. The Original Company, along with First Vincennes Savings and First Robinson Savings Banks presented the family with a plaque and Farm Family sign on Wednesday, April 12th.
