Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 39-year-old Jessica R. Melton of Fairfield on a possession of a controlled substance charge. Melton was stopped by a deputy in the 500 block of Northwest 7th Street Saturday at 12:15 am for a suspended registration. After agreeing to a search, Melton’s vehicle was searched. The search turned up what officials say is Xanax. Melton denied knowing the Xanax was in her possession. Melton was booked into the Wayne County Jail.
At 9:15 AM Saturday, Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Mount Vernon woman following a traffic stop on Elm Street. Deputies during the stop searched the vehicle and found what they believe was meth. The driver, 32-year-old Melony Taylor was taken into custody and charged with possession of meth. Taylor is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.
At 12:15 PM, Fairfield Police arrested 35-year-old Amanda Renee Reeves of Fairfield for criminal trespass to a residence. Reeves is being held on $120 bond in the Wayne County Jail.
On Saturday at 6:15 PM, Fairfield Police arrested 32-year-old Joseph PL. Miraglin of Salem on a count of domestic battery. Miraglin is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.
On Saturday, Fairfield arrested 29-year-old Lakota Lance Gammon of Faulton, Kentucky at 7:39 PM on a charge of battery. Gammon is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.
Currently, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department officials report the jail is at capacity.
