Monday afternoon, the Carmi-White County Bulldog Baseball team picked up their first win of the season, defeating Gallatin County 14-2.
Caleb Seibers was lights-out on the mound for CWC. He pitched 4 innings, allowing only 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 11 batters.
Seibers, Travor Mason, Trayton Vickers, Zack Roark, Merrick Millhorn, Jaxon Albright and Landon Driscoll all recorded hits in the win.
The Bulldogs improve to 1-1 on the season, they will host Benton on Friday.
The CWC Lady Bulldog softball team also picked up their first win of the year, shutting out Lawrenceville 16-0.
After a rough outing last Wednesday, Audrey Upton had a stellar performance on the mound, pitching 4 scoreless innings and striking out 5 batters.
Upton, Mia Evans, Mara Serafini, KC Milligan, Caroline Simmons, Addi Elliot, Mackenzie Williams, Katie Simmons, and Alayna Johnson all recorded hits in the win. Johnson hit her 2nd home run of the year.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Carterville on Thursday.
