If a hole in the ozone layer opens over Carmi, you can blame the Carmi White County Unit 5 Drama Department. Director Sherry Passmore admits they’re using a lot of hairspray in the spring production titled “Back to the ‘80’s”. The shows will be held March 25th and 26th at 7:30pm and March 27th at 2:30pm. Passmore says the kids themselves actually determined the spring show and they weren’t even aware of their influence.

While the music, songs, and dance are certainly the feature, there will still certainly be a story line. Senior Gage Atteberry is playing against type as the athletic villain and serves as the Drama Club’s president.

Jessica Stephens is the Vice President and she’s bringing a big voice and just a bit of drama to the story.
