White County Board To Cover Several Topics During Monthly Meeting

The White County Board will have A LOT of things to talk about at their next meeting on Tuesday, February 14th at 7 PM at the Courthouse, including a new meeting date and time.

The board will consider changing the evening county Board meeting to begin at 6 PM instead of 7 PM and changing the monthly board meeting to the THIRD Tuesday of each month.

Also on the agenda is appointing Ronald Cowles as a replacement for Wayne McKenzie on the 9-1-1 board, approval of adopting a building committee and the appoint of its board members, a resolution to pay Johannes Construction Inc. for the second part of the renovation of the former Carmi Times Building and a change order to add the data cabling for the building, changing the amount to $10,000 from $30,000 on departments requiring a bid, a statement of support for Denton Aud and Jordan Weiss on their firearm stance, fuel bids for the Highway Department, a Federal Aid Agreement & Resolution on resurfacing with aggregate shoulders & pavement marking of Epworth Road from 1300 North to 100 North, a resolution and acceptance for 2023 Maintenance bid proposals, approval of an interagency agreement between the White County Sheriff’s Department and the Ambulance Department (which was a tabled item), an amendment on the Health Care Plan to change the inpatient hospital admission ( a tabled item), a resolution from the County Tax Trustee for several parcels, an approval letter in support for the New Harmony Bridge, increasing the Treasurer’s budget from zero to $13,000 for publishing and printing and also zero to $1,000 for travel expenses, considering an appointee to the Board of Review, and the purchase of the TrueRoll program for the Supervisor of Assessments.

There will be an Executive Session for Personnel and/or Litigation.

The next meeting of the White County Board will be on March 14th at 7 PM.
