Last night the Carmi-White County Bulldogs took down Edwards County on the road by a final score of 55-42.
Mitchel Edwards and Tyler Goemaat led the team in scoring with 15 points a piece.
Bryce Conner scored 13.
Trey Dixon scored 5.
Gavin Holloman scored 4.
Landon Driscoll scored 3.
The win improves Carmi’s record to 19-4 on the season, and 5-0 in the BDC. They will have a tough test tomorrow when they travel to Flora to face the Wolves in a battle for the top spot in the conference.
The CWC wrestling team lost at home to West Frankfort last night, by a final score of 52-24.
Matt Wilson won his match in the 126 weight class by a score of 10-7.
Dylan Ackerman pinned his opponent in the 132 weight class in 3:13.
Caleb Seibers pinned his opponent in the 160 weight class in 3:18.
Nelson Rider won his match in the 195 weight class, 3-2.
Konner Buchanan received a forfeit in the 220 weight class.
The Bulldog wrestlers finish the regular season with a 16-10 record, they will begin regionals this Saturday at Anna-Jonesboro.
Tonight the CWC girls basketball team is back in action as they travel to Flora for their final conference game of the season.
