Last night the CWC Wrestling Team split matches at home against Salem and Fairfield, defeating Salem 42-21 and losing to Fairfield 45-33.
In the Bulldogs’ first match against Salem, Madden Anderson pinned his opponent in the 106 weight class in 39 seconds.
Travor Mason, Caleb Seibers and Isaac King all received forfeits.
Dylan Ackerman won his 132 weight class match in 1:30.
Layne Gwaltney pinned his 152 opponent in 35 seconds.
Nelson Rider capped off the win by pinning his opponent in the 195 weight class in just 53 seconds.
The Bulldogs then took on the BDC champion Fairfield Mules.
Mason started off the match with a 15-12 win in the 113 weight class.
Ackerman then pinned his opponent in the 132 weight class in just 11 seconds after 2 Bulldog forfeits.
Gwaltney picked up his 2nd pin of the night, taking down his opponent in 152 weight class in 2:45.
Jaxon Staton, King and Rider pulled off three-straight wins for the Bulldogs to forge ahead 33-27, but two Carmi forfeits and a win in the 106 weight class by Fairfield gave the Mules the nail-biting 45-33 victory.
The Bulldog wrestlers are now 16-8 on the year, they will travel to Harrisburg tonight.
