Last night, the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs lost at home to Fairfield by a final of 33-32. Mara Serafini led the Lady Dogs in scoring with 15 points, Caroline Simmons and Ashlyn Rager both scored 5, Johanna Smith scored 4 and Shemaine Lovell scored 1. The loss drops Carmi to 9-15 on the season, and 0-7 in the Black Diamond Conference.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Edwards County on Thursday.
Tonight the Carmi-White County Bulldog wrestling team will face Fairfield and Salem at home at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. They will then travel to Harrisburg on Wednesday before wrapping up the regular season at home against West Frankfort and Trico next Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 15-7 on the year.
Coming up this Saturday is the annual White County Cheer for a Cure at Carmi-White County High School. 15 different area schools and 34 different dance groups will be performing. Competition begins at 9 AM.
