Citizen of the Year, an award handed out at the Carmi Chamber of Commerce annual dinner for 65 years has been won by folks from a variety of walks of life with a variety of areas of expertise. The 2022 winner deeply cares about animals. WROY/WRUL’s own Tammy Knight has made it her mission to make a difference in the lives of animals and was recognized for that effort on Monday night.
That was Abby Weiss, Vice President of the Chamber in awarding the recognition to Knight. A humble individual who would trade the recognition she received for any kindness given to an animal, Knight had this to say.
