The CWC boys and girls golf teams played at McLeansboro yesterday against Hamilton County and Zielger Royalton. The girls fell to both the Foxes and the Tornadoes, 196-203-208. Maeve Atteberry led the team with a career low 48. Ava Shiever shot a 52. Courtney Snow and Saylor Mason both shot 54s. Kinley Carter shot a 55 and Sadie Balding shot a 57.
Hamilton County won the match on the boys side, the Bulldogs finished 3rd losing 177-188-189. It was also a career low for freshman Maxon O’Daniel who led the Dogs with a 41. Connor Newell shot a 48. Zack Roark shot a 49. Travor Mason and Gabe Winkleman both shot 51s and Gage Atteberry shot a 54.
Next up for boys, they will begin regionals today in Robinson.
The CWC Girls Tennis Team won a thriller on the road against Herrin yesterday afternoon, 5-4. Johanna Smith, Callie Accord and Gracin Rice all won their singles matches on the day. The #1 doubles team of Smith and Olivia Cox won their doubles match, which meant it all came down to the final match of the day. The #3 doubles team of Accord and Rice won by a final of 10-8 to give the Lady Bulldogs the 5-4 win.
The Carmi-White County Volleyball team fell in two sets last night on the road against a tough Fairfield squad, losing 25-20 and 25-16. The Lady Bulldogs are 12-5 on the year, they will travel to Flora tomorrow night.
The Carmi Cross Country team will also be in action tomorrow as they will run at the Robinson Invitational.
