The Carmi-White County Boys golf team traveled to Flora yesterday afternoon, and the Bulldogs fell by just 6 strokes, losing 167-173. Zack Roark shot a team best 40. Travor Mason shot a 43, Maxon O’Daniel shot a 44, Gage Atteberry shot a 46, Gabe Winkleman shot a 50 and Connor Newell shot a 53. The boys and the girls golf teams will travel to Fairfield today to face the Mules and Eldorado.
Junior high baseball and softball hosted Flora at Bradshaw Park yesterday afternoon. The baseball team fell 14-0, and the softball team fell 14-6. Baseball will host Mt. Carmel on Friday, Softball will host Mt. Carmel on Saturday. Regionals begin next week for both teams.
The girls tennis team will host Marion this afternoon, they will then travel to Salem tomorrow. Volleyball will be at Hamilton County tomorrow and Cross-Country will be at NCOE.
This Friday the Carmi-White County football team will host Christpher-Zeigler Royalton at Harrington-Jeffries sports complex. This comes after the Bulldogs defeated Sesser-Valier last week 44-12. CZR is coming off a 54-34 win over Vienna-Goreville. A win will improve CWC to 4-0 for the first time since 2011.
