The Carmi-White County Boys and Girls golf teams hosted Hamilton County at the Carmi Country Club yesterday afternoon. The girls fell by a final of 190-223. Ava Shiever shot a team best 48, Maeve Atteberry shot a 55, Kinley Carter, Courtney Snow and Sadie Balding all shot 60s, and Saylor Mason shot a 61. The boys fell by mear 2 strokes, losing 189-191. Zack Roark shot a 44, Connor Newell shot a 48, Gage Atteberry shot a 49, Maxon O’Daniel shot a 50, Travor Mason shot a 51, and Gabe Winkleman shot a 58. “Double bogey’s killed us,” said head coach Trey Mason. The golf team will be off the rest of the week, they travel to Waltonville on Monday.
The Junior high baseball and softball teams will host Eldorado this afternoon. The baseball team is coming off a 5-3 win on Monday against Fairfield, while the softball team is looking to turn things around, as they have lost 5 in a row. First pitch for both games is set for 4:30 this afternoon.
