An Eldorado teen was killed in a two vehicle crash on Thursday. According to the Illinois State Police it happened at around 9:15 p.m. on Illinois 13 near Duncan Lane in Shawneetown. Preliminary investigative details indicate that a green Chevy s-10 was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 13 when for an unknown reason he crossed the center line and struck red 2006 Ford F-150 head on. The driver of the S-10 was pronounced dead at the scene while a 15 year old male passenger was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries and an 18 year old female passenger was flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the F-150 36 year old Jarrod M Farris from Manitou KY was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries while his passenger 38 year old Brandon D Winters of Slaughter KY refused medical attention. The ISP Traffic Crash reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
