The Carmi Police Department was dispatched to Carmi Wal-Mart in reference to a shoplifter. On Monday, May 2nd, an officer arrested 35 year old MaryLee Dixie Shumate of Norris City, for Retail Theft. Shumate was booked in the White County Jail.
Bond was set at $100. Shumate paid bond and was released.
