White County SWCD will hold a Spring fish sale for pond stocking, with delivery scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 30 at the USDA Service Center parking lot. Several type of fish are available, including channel catfish, hybrid bluegill, largemouth bass, crappie, redear sunfish, fathead minnows, and grass carp.
Fish orders can be placed by mail or phone at 382-2213, Ext. 3, until Tuesday, March 15, for grass carp to allow for permit time. Orders for all other species will be taken until March 21. All orders must be prepaid by check with form/payment returned to the office. Doors of the USDA Service Center remain locked; however, SWCD staff are available by appointment. All fish will be bagged; pond water is not needed. Fish will be brought directly to customer vehicles.
