A traffic stop on the corner of Oak and Sixth Street resulted in the arrest of two Maunie residents. On Friday, March 4th and Officer with the Carmi Police Department made arrested 28 year old Justin W DeLong of 292 Sheridan St in Maunie for Driving with No Valid Driver’s License and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. The passenger, 39 year old Chantel M Oberlender of 172 W Pumphrey Street in Maunie was also taken into custody for Possession of Cannabis in Motor Vehicle.
DeLong and Oberlender were taken to the White County Jail. Bond was set at $250 for both individuals. They both paid bond and was released. No court date has been set at this time.
