The Carmi Police department made a traffic stop that resulted in a Carmi man being taken into custody. On Friday, February 18th, George Walker Rankin, 37, of 403 E Cherry Street in Carmi was arrested and charged with Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Title without Complete Assignment and Unlawful Use of Property.
Rankin was transported to the White County where bond was set at $5,000.
