White County Coroner Chris Marsh has confirmed the name of the gentleman who died in the house fire on Herald Blacktop last week. Marsh says Daniel Pearce was pronounced dead on scene. An autopsy was performed over the weekend. The White County Coroner says he’s still awaiting toxicology reports to check carbon monoxide levels. We still have no update on Pearce’s wife who was taken to a burn unit in Indianapolis after flames swept the couple’s home Wednesday, February 16th. The state fire marshal’s office is still investigating the cause of that blaze.
