Given the rash of crime against law enforcement specifically in the recent weeks, State Representative Patrick Windhorst of Metropolis, yesterday was part of a group of House Republicans who gathered to review the state of law enforcement and public safety. The meeting came a year after passage of the SAFE-T Act.
During that press conference, Windhorst announced he’s filed House Resolution 598 which he says urges the Illinois General Assembly to value and protect crime victims and law enforcement and to repeal the SAFE-T Act in it’s entirety.
