Christmas Day is never a good time to make a visit to the White County Jail, but for one local woman apparently the festivities were just too much to handle. At around 9:00 AM, the Carmi Police Department was called to 602 Second Street for a Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival, officers with the CPD arrested 35 year old, Christina Lofton for Domestic Battery as well as Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer.
Lofton was taken into custody and booked into the White County Jail.
