On 12-15-21 at approx. 3:30 pm Harrisburg Police Officers responded to the Pankey Creek at East Sloan St. to a report of a body in the creek. Officers arrived there and located a deceased white male in the creek. Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators arrived and processed the scene. No further information is being released at this time. The Illinois State Police Criminal Investigators are leading the investigation. The Harrisburg Fire Department, Deaconess EMS, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators, Saline County Sheriff’s Department, Eldorado Police Department, and the Saline County Coroners Office assisted at the scene.
