SWCD Fish Order Deadline Is Approaching
White County SWCD is holding a Fall fish sale for pond stocking. Orders will be taken fish orders are until October 8th. Delivery is scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, October 14, at the USDA Service Center parking lot.
Several type of fish are available, including channel catfish, hybrid bluegill, largemouth bass, crappie, redear sunfish, fathead minnows, and grass carp. All fish will be bagged; pond water is not needed. Fish orders will be brought directly to customer vehicles, and customers are requested to remain in their vehicles.
Fish orders can be placed by phone at 382-2213, Ext. 3. All orders must be prepaid by check or cash with form/payment returned to the office. USDA Service Center doors remain locked due to COVID-19; however, SWCD staff are available by appointment.
Raffle tickets for a handmade John Deere quilt (approx. 55” x 65”) and pillow generously provided to the White County SWCD by Linda Johnson and George Johnson—Roland Meadows Conservation Land Trust are also available for $5 each
