Carmi police arrest 15 year old for DUI Friday night

Friday afternoon, Carmi Police took a report of theft.  Just after 4pm, Steven Schroeder told officers that someone had stolen a debit card he had received from the Social Security Administration and had withdrawn $1500 from the account.

A Carmi juvenile and a Gallatin County man were arrested late Friday night by Carmi Police after a traffic stop.  Officers pulled over a Dodge pickup at the intersection of E Trelleborg and E Main just after 11:30pm.  The owner of the truck, 20 year old Brandon Oldham of Junction was arrested for permitting an unauthorized person to drive, while the driver, a 15 year old male juvenile was arrested for driving without a license.  Upon a search of the vehicle, it was discovered that both Oldham and the juvenile had open containers of alcohol in their possession.  The juvenile was then also charged with illegal transportation, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, and Zero Tolerance DUI.  Oldham was additionally charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of alcohol.  Oldham was transported to the White County Jail and released after posting a $150 bond.

 

Just after 12:30am Saturday, Carmi police arrested 32 year old Jedadiah Locher of Carmi at the intersection of Fifth and Elm Streets.  Locher was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and processed at the White County Jail.  He was released after posting a $150 bond.
