The Carmi White County Junior High Baseball team kicked off their season with a win over Mt. Vernon, Ill. Thursday.
The local outscored Mt. Vernon, 12 to 0.
Merick Millhorn was the winning pitcher, going three and a third innings giving up two hits, three walks, six strike outs and one HBP.
