Covid Moves Wayne White Annual Meeting Outdoors
The Wayne-White Annual Meeting will still be held this Friday, but due to concerns with rising cases of Covid in our area, it will now take place in an outdoor drive-thru setting at Wayne City High School. Members can drive-thru to register and receive their bill credit as well as a free pork chop meal at 5pm without leaving their vehicle. The entertainment and business meeting will be held outside, and members can stay in their vehicles, enjoy their meal, and listen to the gospel entertainment at 6pm as well as the business meeting at 7pm which will be broadcast live over a special frequency on your FM radio.
PLEASE BRING YOUR REGISTRATION CARD with you from the Annual Meeting Booklet that you received in the mail. A drawing for Prizes will still be conducted as usual at the end of the business meeting. All Registration Cards will be placed in our hopper as usual, for the drawing. Please follow the signs as you enter the parking area entrance road in front of the high school (west side) and you will be directed to the registration and meal pick-up area without having to leave your vehicle. Due to the changes in the logistics for the meeting, we will table the proposed change in by-law amendments until a future Annual Meeting, so no vote on by-law changes will be held on Friday.
The business meeting will also be recorded on video and shared on our website and social media at a later date, along with a special 15-year review of the cooperative that has already been produced, but won’t be shown live at the meeting due to the outdoor logistics. We appreciate your understanding concerning these changes, and we look forward to seeing you on Friday.
