Covid Update
Beginning this past Friday, (July 2), Egyptian Health Department will begin weekly Covid 19 updates, with their release on Friday afternoon.
The most recent report, issued Thursday, indicates five Southeastern Illinois residents have tested positive for Coronavirus.
All of the five were from Saline County and included one female, under the age of 10; a female in her 20s and a female in her 30s.
There were two infected males, including one in his 20s and another in his 30s.
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,780 confirmed positives, including 57 deaths.
White County has had a total of 1,814 lab confirmed Covid cases, including 27 deaths. Gallatin County reported a total of 517 cases and four deaths.
The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
