It was High School Boys turn at State Track and Field finals Thursday. Locally, Ty Barbre turned in yet another solid performance in the two mile finishing the 3200 in 10:06.58 for Carmi-White County. NCOE’s Jake Rush ran into some bad luck with fouls in his efforts causing him to not score. Fairfield also sent track and fielders to state with Landon Zurliene finishing 18th in the High Jump by clearing 1.85 meters. Fairfield’s A.J. Gonzalez heaved the 12 pound shot put 13.55 meters, good enough for a 19th place finish. The Mules’ 4×400 Relay team also competed turning in a time of 3:56.73 and coming in 28th.
