Locally, Senator Darren Bailey says gun owners in Illinois are under attack by Democrats in Illinois. He called the vote proof that Democrats are willing to forge ahead by any and all means to chip away at Second Amendment rights. Bailey says the bill increases private transfer costs and adds more liability to gun retailers. Bailey also said it was a gateway bill to force Illinoisans to submit fingerprints.
