Three Individuals from White County Recovering After Thursday Morning Crash

Three individuals from White County are recovering after a crash on Route 1 in the Norris City Thursday.  Illinois State Police were called to the accident scene near County Road 750 North in Indian Creek Township after a collision involving a Ford truck and a Peterbilt Semi.  Officials say the pickup driven by 52 year old Troy Williams of Norris City had slowed to make a turn onto County Road 750.  29 year old Andrew Krouse of Grayville was driving the semi and moved into the southbound lane to pass.  Apparently, Krouse didn’t get over far enough and struck the rear quarter panel of Williams’ vehicle causing it to travel off the roadway and overturn.  Both drivers refused medical attention.  A passenger in Williams’ pickup, 34 year old Joshua Wright of Norris City however was shaken up and ended up being taken to a hospital for non life threatening injuries.  Wright ended up with a citation for not wearing a seat belt.  Krouse was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, No Proper Evidence of Registration, and Failure to Transfer a Title.  The accident happened just before 9am.
