A 50 year old woman from Equality has been airlifted to deal with what Illinois State Police call serious injuries following a Sunday afternoon crash in Gallatin County. The preliminary investigation suggests Jessica Jones was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 1 and failed to stop at the intersection with Peabody Road while 66 year old Kenneth Walters of Elizabethtown, IL was crossing the intersection. Walters was uninjured in the crash. Jones has been cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. There’s no word this morning on Jones’ condition.
