Carmi White County baseball took a pair of games yesterday (Monday) topping Johnston City at Eckerle Park by scores of 13-3 in 6 innings and 6-1 in Game 2. In Game 1, the Bulldogs put up 4 runs in the 2nd and 5th innings along with 2 in the 3rd and 6th. Zach Roark pitched a complete game allowing just 5 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 9. Cal York powered the offense with 4 RBI’s, going 2 for 4 from the plate. York pitched all 5 innings in Game 2 giving up just 3 hits and allowing just 1 un-earned run. Jacob Lamont and Ty Stubblefield pitched in 2 RBI’s each. Coach Justin Simmons’ team will next be in action Wednesday afternoon for a game at Herrin.
