A Norris City man has been sentenced to prison. 19 year old Isaac D. Anderson will spend the next five years in an Illinois Department of Corrections facility followed by two years of Mandatory Supervised Release. He was convicted on a class 1 Felony charge of Residential Burglary. In addition, Anderson will be responsible for costs and restitution. A class 3 felony charge of intimidation along with misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal damage to property were dismissed in exchange for the plea agreement.
The sentence was ordered to run concurrently to a two year DOC sentence imposed on him at the conclusion of a hearing on April 12th in which he was convicted of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. The residential burglary offense occurred on March 11th according to authorities. Norris City Police was the arresting agency. Anderson was represented by public defender Brian Shinkle. Judge T. Scott Webb presided over the case. Anderson is being credited 53 days for time served.
