The FFA Section 225 Ag Mechanics Competition is in the books. It was hosted by Southeastern Illinois College earlier this month and the results are in. Ten schools competed including Carmi-White County, Carrier Mills, Eldorado, Gallatin County, Hardin County, Harrisburg, Joppa, NCOE, Pope County, and Vienna. The FFA Chapter from Vienna took the first place overall team award. Eldorado was second and Carmi-White County won third. Kaden Carter of Carmi-White County took top honors individually in Carpentry. Lucas Browning of NCOE took third place honors in Welding.
The Carmi-White County FFA team is made up of Nate Garner, Kaden Carter, Cody Nausley, Ian Mosier, and Blake Pollard. Ag instructor Bobby Lamp serves as the advisor.
