Two Crossville residents are heading to prison following their sentencing yesterday morning in White County court. 23 year old Nicholas D. Page and 36 year old Amber Walkenbach were co-defendants arrested on April 1st for being in possession of both methamphetamine and a firearm. White County States Attorney Denton Aud says Walkenbach had been placed on probation previously for Obstruction of Justice, but her probation was revoked based on the new arrest. For the unlawful use of property charge, Walkenbach will serve 3 years behind bars in the Department of Corrections followed by 2 years of supervised release. For Obstructing Justice, a class 4 felony, she received 3 years and an additional year of what we call parole. Class 3 felonies of possession of meth and possession of a firearm by a felon were dismissed as per the plea agreement with Walkenbach.
Page will serve 4 years in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release. As with Walkenbach, Class 3 felonies of
possession of meth and possession of a firearm were dismissed as per the plea deal. Both will be responsible for court costs and were credited 25 days for time served.
Carmi Police made the arrest. Judge T. Scott Webb presided over the case.
