Illinois State Representative Patrick Windhorst has introduced a bill to help fill teaching positions throughout the state. He says the state currently has about 4,500 unfilled teaching positions and he’s trying to make it easier to bring back retirees to help schools fill those positions. House Bill 2569 makes changes to the Teachers’ Retirement System.

The bill passed the House and is on it’s way to the Senate for consideration.
