Egyptian Health Department Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

The Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (5)
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 female; age demographics unknown, case status in progress

 

  • White County (3)
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,611 lab confirmed positives, including 53 deaths, 2,525 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,758 lab-confirmed positives, including 27 deaths, 1,704 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 497 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 491 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Yesterday, IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 3,630 new confirmed cases and 13 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,276,830 confirmed cases and 21,489 deaths in Illinois.
