
32 year old David J. Oshea, of Carmi, was located by Carmi Police, Wednesday morning, around 8:47 a.m., and placed under arrest in the game room at Huck’s on Failure to Appear Warrants for No Valid Driver’s License and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. During a search of his person and property, a piece of foil with an orange drug strip was located in his wallet. A field test of the orange strip determined the substance was positive for Heroin, Morphine or Suboxone. Oshea was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was taken to the White County Jail, where he remains held on $1,000 bond on the two warrants.
A 22 year old Carmi man, Evan B. Boshears, was arrested by Carmi Police Wednesday afternoon, after Officers were contacted in reference to a possible wanted subject near the intersection of Hillsdale and Stewart in Carmi. Boshears was riding a bike on Stewart with his girlfriend. Officer Agee located the pair on Stewart at Hillsdale and confirmed an active Richland County warrant on Boshears for Domestic Battery. He was arrested without incident and transported to the City County Jail, where he was released on his own recognizance. Bond was set at $275.
