Fairfield Memorial Hospital weekly updates are used to keep the public informed as progress continues to be made on our Expansion Project.
Work progress during the week of March 15th consisted of the electrical and plumbing contractors continuing their work on all three floors. The installation and sheet rock are being installed on the future Skilled Care Unit on the 3
rd floor of the expansion project. Currently, the contractors are pulling all of the wire from the existing building to the new edition. This will eventually allow for the electrical in the existing hospital structure and the expansion to be combined together. First floor has continued framing and installing the air duct. The fire safety precautions, such as, sprinklers are nearly all installed in the new edition.
Looking forward to the week of March 22nd, we should be seeing some progress on the exterior of the building as long as the weather cooperates. The masonry contractor will be working across the south face of the building with the brick and stone caps. Also, the window contractor will be starting midweek with preparing the window openings and curtainwall for the glass and aluminum installation. On the interior of the expansion the partition work, mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation will continue. The concrete will soon poured in the future ambulance
bay.
