Egyptian Health Department Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Wednesday, of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (4)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 2 males in their 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s

 

  • White County (4)
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 80’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,532 lab confirmed positives, including 49 deaths, 2,388 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,732 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,651 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 487 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 460 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,655 new confirmed cases and 17 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,213,765 confirmed cases and 20,988 deaths in Illinois.
