Egyptian Health Department was notified Friday of a Saline County Resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.
Egyptian Health Department was also notified on Friday of 7 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (4)
- 1 male in his teens
- 1 female in her 20’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
- 1 male in his 50’s
- White County (3)
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 2 males in their 50’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,522 lab confirmed positives, including 49 deaths, 2,300 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,727 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,590 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 486 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 455 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
