The Hamilton County Board will meet in regular session Tuesday night (March 16th) at 6:00 PM.
Alene Carr with Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning and Development will be present as well as a Commission requesting Support of the EDA Partnership Planning Grant on
behalf of Hamilton County and a commitment of contributing local dues in the amount of $16,491.15 over the next (3) years.
The Board will here Department Reports from Sheriff Lakin, Nathan Taylor EMA Director, Dorothy Smith with the ETSB Board report, Chad May with the Ambulance Service Update, an Animal Control Update, and a representative of Bellwether, LLC with the Administrative Services Report.
During the Consent Agenda, the Board will accept checks from the Hamilton County Health Department, accept a check from the City of McLeansboro per the Central Dispatching agreement, review the Hamilton County Unit #10 1% school facilities tax schedule, review the Hamilton County Public Safety Tax Payment, and approve the “Letter of Support” recognizing Illinois South Tourism as the tourism bureau to represent Hamilton County and approve the annual contribution level of $225.
New Business for review, discussion and possible approval will include a claim submitted by Dr. Beth Rister, Regional Superintendent of Schools, District for the 1qrt of FY 2021 in the amount of $5,672.97 for months December 2020 through February 2021, a resolution regarding the sale of a parcel to the City of McLeansboro for the bid of $830.00, discussion and approval to have a joint tire recycling event with the City of McLeansboro with the County sharing the cost at 50% with Expected Dates of May 17th & 18th, the claims list and late claims and highway claims with signatures of approval, approval of the recommended re-appointment of Chad May to the Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission Board for a 3 year term expiring 03-16-2024, John Chapman to the Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission Board for a 3 year term expiring 03-16-2024, Donna Morris to the Hamilton County Housing Authority for a 5 year term ending February 28th, 2024, Roger Swartz to the Hamilton County Housing Authority Board for a 5 year term ending February 28th, 2025, Rick Bowman to the Hamilton County Water District Board for 5 year term expiring April 30th, 2026, and Ron Webb to the Hamilton County Water District Board for a 5 year term expiring April 30th, 2026.
The Board will also discuss and possibly approve a couple of resolutions to award material proposals to the lowest bidder for materials.
