Egyptian Health Department was notified Thursday, of 16 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (9)
- 1 female in her teens
- 1 male in his 20’s
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 3 males in their 40’s
- 2 males in their 50’s
- 1 male in his 60’s
- Gallatin County (3)
- 1 female in her teens
- 1 male in his 60’s
- 1 male; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.
- White County (4)
- 2 females in their 20’s
- 1 male in his 40’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,518 lab confirmed positives, including 48 deaths, 2,300 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,724 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,590 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 486 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 455 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
Wash your hands frequently. Wear a face covering if you have to go out. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Remain 6 feet apart from others.
