Illinois State Police District 19 investigated a Single Unit Personal Injury Traffic Crash Sunday night at approximately 10:34 p.m in Hamilton County.
32 year old, Sarah M. McFarland, of McLeansboro was traveling westbound on Norris City Road approaching IL. RT. 142 , when she failed to stop at the stop sign and her 2019 Red Nissan traveled across IL.RT.142 striking a ditch. She was taken to a local area hospital, along with several passengers, a 10-year old male juvenile, a 12 year old female juvenile, and a 13 year old female juvenile, for treatment of minor injuries. Another passenger, 39 year old Tyrel K. McFarland of McLeansboro was not injured.
Sarah M. McFarland was issued citations for Disobeying Stop Sign, Driving While License Suspended and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Tyrel McFarland was arrested on a felony warrant out of Indiana.
