The Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Saline County resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.
The Egyptian Health Department was notified, Wednesday, of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (4)
- 1 male in his 20’s
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 2 females in their 40’s
- Gallatin County (1)
- 1 female under the age of 10
- White County (3)
- 1 female under the age of 10
- 1 male under the age of 10
- 1 male in his 30’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,439 lab confirmed positives, including 47 deaths, 2,282 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,688 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,574 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 477 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 452 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
