30 year old Tashauna M. Perry, of Grayville, was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus costs, Wednesday, in White County Court, on a class 1 felony Criminal Sexual Assault. She was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Perry was convicted of performing an act on May 21, 2020 of sexual penetration with a family member under the age of 18 years. Due to the offense Perry was convicted of, she will have to serve a minimum of 85% of the sentence. Furthermore, her period of mandatory supervised release will be set by the Illinois Department of Corrections between three years and natural life. Perry’s case was investigated by the Illinois State Police. Perry was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. Judge T. Scott Webb was the presiding judge.
