Illinois State Police District 19 investigated a Three Unit Personal Injury Traffic Crash around 2:15 this (Tuesday)morning in White County.
Liu Weiqi, 28, of Los Angeles, CA, Osvaldo Aamarales-Bayola, 45, of Louisville, KY, and Adam Durrence, 45, of Metter, GA, were all traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 near mile post 123.5 when Weiqi’s semi-trailer began to fish-tail and jack knifed, overturning and blocking both eastbound lanes. Aamarales-Bayola’s semi struck Weiqi’s semi-trailer. Durrance was unable to stop his semi due to the road conditions and traveled off the roadway to the north into the median, striking Weiqi’s semi-trailer before coming to final rest in the median.
Weiqi was issued a citation for Driving too Fast for Conditions.
