Egyptian Health Department was notified Saturday of a White County Resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and our thoughts are with the family.
Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 39 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,239 lab confirmed positives, including 39 deaths, 1,170 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,494 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 675 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 436 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 252 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
