Visit Rend Lake College this weekend for Super Saturday to take the first step to becoming a college student. The event will be held from 9 a.m. – noon.
During Super Saturday, students can register for the Spring 2016 semester, pick up textbooks, get a Student ID, stop by the Financial Aid Office, and much more across the Ina campus. Placement testing will also be offered, and those interested in testing should be in the Academic Advisement Center by 9:15 a.m.
Students will also need to make sure they have financial aid for the spring semester before registering for classes. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Those who do not have financial aid will need to self-pay that day or sign up for the FACTS Payment Plan to ensure they remain enrolled. The RLC Business Office can provide information about the plan, but enrollment must be done online.
RLC will continue to offer 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. extended hours Monday-Thursday this and next week: Jan. 5-7 and Jan. 11-14. The college will also be open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Fridays, Jan. 8 and Jan. 15. Classes begin Monday, Jan. 11.
No appointments are necessary for Super Saturday. Additional information is available by contacting the RLC Academic Advisement Center at 618-437-5321, Ext. 1266, or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Students can also visit www.rlc.edu to see the spring course schedule.
