Egyptian Health Department Reports 21 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 21 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).  They include…

• Saline County (10)
  • 1 female in her teens
  • 1 male in his teens
  • 3 females in their 20’s
  • 1 male in his 20’s
  • 1 male in his 30’s
  • 1 female in her 40’s
  • 2 males in their 70’s

• Gallatin County (2)
  • 1 female in her 70’s
  • 1 male in his 70’s

• White County (9)
  • 1 female under the age of 10
  • 1 female in her 20’s
  • 1 male in his 30’s
  • 2 males in their 40’s
  • 1 female in her 70’s
  • 2 females in their 80’s
  • 1 male in his 80’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,161 lab confirmed positives, including 38 deaths, 997 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,424 lab-confirmed positives, including 23 deaths, 568 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 427 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 214 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
