Egyptian Health Department Reports 21 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 21 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).  They include…

 

  • Saline County (10)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 3 females in their 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 2 males in their 70’s

 

  • Gallatin County (2)
    • 1 female in her 70’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

  • White County (9)
    • 1 female under the age of 10
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 2 males in their 40’s
    • 1 female in her 70’s
    • 2 females in their 80’s
    • 1 male in his 80’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,161 lab confirmed positives, including 38 deaths, 997 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,424 lab-confirmed positives, including 23 deaths, 568 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 427 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 214 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. Yesterday, IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 5,343 new confirmed cases and 130 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,064,667 confirmed cases and 18,179 deaths in Illinois.
