Sentencing was handed down in White County Court on Monday in the case of Martin A. Ritch, who was convicted in October on one count of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Ritch was sentenced to ten years in prison with two years of mandatory supervised release according to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud. In addition, Ritch pled guilty to a pending charge of burglary and accepted a ten year sentence in that case. The two sentences will run concurrently, and Ritch was also ordered to pay court costs and restitution.
Aud thanked the jury for handing down the guilty verdict, and praised the work of the Carmi and Grayville Police Departments for their work investigating the case.
